COMMON REPAIR QUESTIONS
Can you repair “MY” Slot or Video Poker Machine?
While we repair slots machines, it is specific to the brands and platforms we are experienced with. Every slot brand is different from each other, some more than others. Even within the same brands, different cabinets and model revisions are often very different as well. Send us pics of your game on FaceBook Messenger and we can let you know if it’s one that we work on.
Bring in your Game?
Do I have to bring in my machine – YES you should (See below for more info for onsite). While we understand that moving slots is hard as they are heavy, bulky, and awkward, fixing them “RIGHT” and for the least cost is our priority. Due to the complex nature of Slot Machines, the enormous possibility of parts needed to repair, and the likelihood of multiple trips, we strongly encourage you bring your game into into our shop. Onsite repairs are substantially more expensive and less likely to have permanent success. In our shop, repairs are tested, played, and run for many days (usually 1-2 weeks), making sure that the repair is solid and thoroughly tested, and that you get back a fully working machine.

Can you just take a look?
Sometimes you’d just like to know what’s wrong. We’re happy to check out your game for you, if it’s one of the ones we work on. We do have a $150 diag fee for checking your game out. If you get your game repaired with us, we’ll waive the diag fee. If you choose not to get your game repaired, you can just pay the diag fee and pick up your game or relinquish your game to us, your choice.
How much to just get it working for me?
We offer predictable flat-rate repairs on our most popular cabinets to keep your costs down. If your machine doesn’t fit these categories, it is billed at our standard shop rate of $175 per hour plus parts.
Flat-Rate “Get It Working Again” Specials
$250 (+ Parts): IGT Upright S2000 games, some S+ cabinets
$350 (+ Parts): WMS Upright (BB1, BB2, BB3), IGT Upright GameKing (iGame 044 MPU), IGT AVP Upright (G20, G23, SAVP), and Aruze Upright (Gen-X & Cube-X).
Hourly Rate (+ Parts): All slanted cabinets, bar tops, and other unlisted styles.
Does your game qualify? Cabinet styles vary wildly. Please send us a Facebook PM with clear pictures of your game, and we will let you know if it qualifies for a fixed-rate repair!
What if my game isn’t worth fixing?
We accept many games in for recycle. Pictures are required before we agree to accept it. We use ETHICAL RECYCLING methods for these old games. Electronics are stripped and sent to an ethical electronic recyclers. Metal and cabinet parts are taken to a scrap yard. We make sure it doesn’t end up in a land fill.
Hourly Rate
For games that fall outside of our Fixed-Rate “Get it working” repair option or should you choose to just go the hourly route for work, our in-shop hourly rate is $175/hr

Do you offer Onsite Repairs
To give you the most thorough repair at the lowest price, we perform nearly all service at our specialized workshop. Diagnosing a machine in a home environment is highly time-consuming and often requires multiple scheduled trips. Bringing your machine to us ensures a significantly higher success rate and a much lower bill.
For customers who cannot transport their game, we happily provide contact info for trusted “mover guys” who can safely bring it to our shop.
Should you choose to bypass shop repair for a premium onsite visit, our structural rates are as follows:
Hourly Rate: $275/hr (includes all portal-to-portal travel time to and from our shop).
Per-Visit Minimum: 3 hours ($825), collected up front upon arrival before any diagnostics begin.
Parts & Multi-Trip Policy: Because multiple trips are standard for onsite calls, payments for any required parts and the next mandatory 3-hour minimum visit must be settled before parts are ordered.
Onsite repairs also do not include a warranty , unlike in-shop repairs that include our standard repair warranty.
Parts Testing
We often get asked, can you test my “XYZ” part. We offer parts testing services to help diagnose possible issues for you. Different parts have different testing rates. However, the most common part we test is the S2000 MPU and this, for an example, has a $150 testing fee (for each). Other parts are quoted on a case-by-case basis. Shipping costs are outside of this.
Refurbishments or other complicated repairs will be quoted separately once a machine is onsite. ALL MACHINES have a required $150 Diagnostic fee that is waived if you get the repair done.

Slot Repairs come with a 30-day warranty on what was repaired (the exact issue) and may require the machine being brought back in for any warranty work. STLSLOTS is not responsible for machine transport, even with warranty repair. Replacement parts carry a 30-Day warranty except for excluded items ~ Screens, Buttons, Batteries, LEDs, and Glass are excluded from any warranty coverage.
PINBALL REPAIR

We repair and refurbish Pinball Machines as well. In fact, we’ve been repairing and refurbishing pinballs since the late 1990’s. We mostly fix and refurbish 1980-2010 era machines. Repair and Refurbishment prices for Pinballs vary widely. Any quotes would be on a case-by-case basis. Our hourly rate for Pinball repair is $175/hr. All games repairs/Refurbishments require a $150 Diagnostic review, which is waived if you choose to fix the game.
We do require all games to be brought in for repairs or any other work. Due to the complex nature of machines, the enormous possible parts that could be needed, and the likelihood of multiple trips onsite (which costs you more money), we insist on machines being brought into our shop. Also, with your game at our shop, we can run it for days and test all repairs thoroughly, hopefully removing any reoccurrences.
As a reference, here are some of the brands we work on:
Stern
Jersey Jack
Williams
Bally/Midway
Premier
Data East
Gottlieb
Repairs come with a 30-day warranty on what was repaired (the exact issue). Replacement parts carry the same 30-Day warranty except for excluded items. Screens, Buttons, Batteries, Hard Drives, Memory, and Glass are excluded from any warranty coverage.
